Check a platform
The most common fraud today does not use a fake coin. Someone talks you into buying crypto on a real, licensed exchange, then tells you to send it on to "their platform". This is where you check that platform.
Is it in the European register?
We search the official ESMA register of providers authorised under MiCA. Enter a website (e.g. anycoin.cz) or a company name.
Six signs that give this fraud away
They contacted you first
A message on WhatsApp, LinkedIn, a dating app, or a text sent "by mistake". A real adviser does not find you this way.
Someone walks you through it
A call or chat where someone dictates every click. The point is to keep you from thinking or asking anyone.
They want remote access
AnyDesk, TeamViewer, or "install this app". From then on they see your account and your bank.
You are told to send crypto off the exchange
This is the moment. Buying on a licensed exchange is fine; the transfer to "their platform" is the end of it. There is no way back.
The app shows beautiful profits
They draw those numbers themselves. The real money left long ago.
Withdrawal fails and they want more money
"Tax", "unlocking fee", "verification". The classic second wave. Never pay to get your own money back.
If it already happened
Stop sending money, even if they promise to unlock the account. Save every message, wallet address and transaction id. Report it to the police and to your bank. A blockchain transaction cannot be reversed, but documented addresses help others and help the investigation.
