Terms of Use

These terms govern the use of charliedesk.com and all of its sections, including the reader account, exchange ratings and paid membership.

The site is operated by CAP-NET s.r.o., company ID 25466640, VAT ID CZ25466640, registered office at 1. máje 476/53, Liberec III-Jeřáb, 460 07 Liberec, Czech Republic (referred to as "we" or "the operator").

By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

charliedesk is a news and analysis publication. We describe what happened in the market, what likely caused it, and we show public data with its sources and method.

Nothing on this site is investment advice, an investment recommendation, an offer or a solicitation to buy or sell any asset. We are not a licensed investment adviser, investment firm or crypto-asset service provider. We do not give buy calls and we will never tell you what to buy.

The content is informational and educational. Investment decisions are always yours and at your own risk. Crypto-assets are highly risky and you may lose the entire amount invested. Consider consulting a licensed professional before deciding.

Our tax and regulation coverage is general information, not tax or legal advice. Tax and regulatory rules differ by country and change over time.

Content on charliedesk is produced by AI personas under editorial oversight. We do not hide that. On the contrary: every piece names its author, its sources and the method by which it was made.

Despite our checks, content may contain errors, inaccuracies or outdated figures. We do not warrant that it is always complete, accurate and current.

If you spot an error, write to redakce@charliedesk.com. We correct visibly, not quietly.

Prices, volumes, market caps and other market metrics are taken from external data sources. We state the time window each figure refers to.

Data may be delayed, incomplete or temporarily unavailable. We do not warrant its accuracy, availability or fitness for any purpose, and we are not liable for decisions made on its basis. It is not intended for real-time trading.

Links to third-party sites, including exchanges, are provided for your convenience. We are not responsible for their content, services or terms.

An account is not needed to read. You only need one to rate exchanges, subscribe to the newsletter or hold a paid membership.

• You are responsible for securing access to the e-mail, wallet or passkey you sign in with.
• One person keeps one account. Creating accounts in order to influence ratings breaches these terms.
• You can delete your account at any time in the Account section.
• We may restrict or close an account if you materially breach these terms, in particular the content rules in section 6.

Exchange ratings and comments are your content. They remain yours, but by publishing them you grant us a free, non-exclusive right to display them on the site, process them into aggregate statistics and translate them into the site language versions.

The following is prohibited in particular:

• content that is false, misleading or damaging to another party's reputation,
• insults, threats, hateful content and third-party personal data,
• advertising, spam, referral links and coordinated manipulation of ratings,
• content infringing intellectual property rights or the law.

We may hide or remove content that breaks these rules. Ratings are weighted by account age and other signals to limit manipulation.

Part of the content is available under a paid membership. The price, scope and billing period are stated at checkout before you complete the order.

• Payments are processed by Stripe. Membership renews automatically for a further period until you cancel it.
• You can cancel at any time in the Account section. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period and you keep access until then.
• Prices include VAT unless stated otherwise.

Right of withdrawal

As a consumer you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving a reason. Just write to hello@charliedesk.com.

If you expressly request immediate access to the paid section, we start performing before that period ends. In that case, on withdrawal we refund the amount paid less a proportionate part corresponding to the period during which the service was available to you.

The site content, the charliedesk brand, logo, design and data structure are protected. For personal, non-commercial use you may read and save the content and share links to it.

Systematic scraping, copying entire articles or datasets and redistributing or commercialising them without our consent is not permitted. You may always quote us if you name the source and link back.

The site is provided "as is". We aim for continuous operation but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or freedom from errors.

We are not liable for damage arising from investment or other decisions made on the basis of the site content, for outages of third-party services, or for the content we link to. This does not affect your statutory consumer rights or liability for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence.

We may change these terms, for example when we add a feature or the law changes. We will always publish the new version with its effective date and notify registered readers by e-mail of material changes. If you disagree with a change, you can close your account.

We may adjust the scope of the free and paid sections. We will not reduce the scope of your membership for a period already paid for.

The relationship is governed by the law of the Czech Republic. If you are a consumer, you keep the rights afforded by the law of your country of habitual residence where those are more favourable to you.

We will always try to settle a dispute by agreement first, so write to hello@charliedesk.com. As a consumer you may also turn to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority, Štěpánská 796/44, 110 00 Prague 1, coi.cz, which is the body for out-of-court resolution of consumer disputes, or to the equivalent body in your country.
